Welcome to the River Valley Vanguard!
We are proud to be a welcoming and inclusive supporters’ group for FC Edmonton. You’ll find us at games both home and away making noise and supporting FC Edmonton unapologetically.
The River Valley Vanguard does not have any formal structure, nor do we collect fees. If you feel like you would like to join, please join in! We will endeavour to be as welcoming and warm to you as we possibly can be. As we believe strongly in being as inclusive as possible, we have crafted the following Code of Conduct. We do not want to limit people’s fun or passion for the game, but want to ensure that we are able to maintain a positive environment for all that stand with us.
If you have any concerns or comments, please do not hesitate to contact us : or on social media (@RVVanguard).
As members of the River Valley Vanguard, we agree to:
Respect the rights, dignity and worth of every person regardless of their identity (including but not limited to: gender, sexuality, ability, race, colour, religion, language, politics, national or ethnic origin).
Never use violence in any form towards another person, including fellow spectators, Players or Match/Team Officials (including Coaches).
Not engage in acts of discrimination, racism, sexism, homophobia, ableism, harassment or abuse towards any person.
Attempt to resolve all disagreements at the lowest level possible (direct conversation between people).
Attempt to refrain from foul language (swearing) as much as possible. Members should be warned that the supporters’ section may use language that some may find offensive from time to time.
Should these conditions not be met, a discussion by group members will be held and action will be taken. As proud members of RVV, we are to hold each other accountable, communicate openly, and create space for everyone to be heard equally.
Any decisions or actions regarding the Code of Conduct or membership will only be made with at least 50% plus one person of the currently identified River Valley Vanguard members
